Justice League Synopsis and New Logo Revealed for Upcoming Warner Bros. Film

Warner Bros. has announced that filming has began on its upcoming sequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League unveiling the logo in the process (less than impressive). The next installment builds on the previous and introduces most of the original members of the Justice League like The Flash and Aquaman.

Like you, I had high hopes for the last film, but it ended up being too depressing and too messy of an edit, having earned a 27% overall review on Rotten Tomatoes. Somehow it still ended up grossing $873 million at the worldwide box office, despite word of mouth of how bad it was to audiences. We can only hope that Snyder gets the ingredients right on this film.

The character was created by writer-artist Jack Kirby and first appears in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #134

Here’s the official film synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.  Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.  But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

This time, my movie villain prediction would be an appearance by Darkseid (pronounced “Darkside”), one of the most powerful beings in the DC universe. However, some other sites are indicating that the main villain will be Steppenwolf. With Director Zack Snyder you just never know what you’ll end up getting.

Steppenwolf is the uncle of Darkseid and leader of the military of Apokolips

Justice League stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), and Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Jason Mamoa (Arthur Curry/Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Victor Stone/Cyborg), and Ezra Miller (Barry Allen/The Flash) with Willem Dafoe in a mystery role and J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon).

The film directed by Zack Snyder is scheduled to be released in theatres on November 17, 2017.

Immerse Yourself into the DC Universe with the Official Final Trailer for Batman V Superman

It’s the moment we’ve all been patiently waiting for…or at least the moment I’ve patiently waited for. The final official trailer is here and it looks EPIC!

Brace yourself for the IMAX experience

After a year worth of insane marketing (not as good as the marketing of Deadpool movie), we get a taste of what’s to come in the showdown between the fabled Dark Knight and the Man of Steel!

Henry Cavill reprises his role as Superman/Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as everybody’s favourite billionaire and detective, Batman/Bruce Wayne with and Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman). The film is directed by Zack Snyder and in  the official synopsis we get a really good sense of what’s to come. Without further yimmer-yammering, I present to you, the final trailer…enjoy.

Official Synopsis Released for the New Batman V. Superman Film

The much-anticipated superhero cross-over film from DC Comics and Warner Bros., Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, has finally released some semblance of a synopsis ahead of its March 25, 2016 debut.

“Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

It’s still not enough to go on, but it does make some sense of the Official Teaser Trailer we saw this past April. If I had to make some assumptions as to who this “new threat” is, I’d put it down to two characters. My first guess would be Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eisenberg since his character will appear in the film.

My second guess (and this is a long shot), would be Darkseid (pronounced “Darkside”), one of the most powerful beings in the DC universe. Here’s my final guess and it does make some amount of sense, since this character has been a recurring villain for Batman; I’d have to say Deathstroke might be the new threat. He’s high up there in the world of comic book villains and is also linked to Lex Luthor.

Clearly you can see that DC Comics has told us the film synopsis, but there are still a lot of grey areas and deliberately so. Perhaps the next trailer will give us some more insight. I’m definitely looking forward to the face-off between Batman versus Superman. Even though we all know how that fight will turn out, it’s still worth seeing the live-action interpretation. After all, this is the foundation for The Justice League’s origin story.

The film is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), and Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Teaser Posters Revealed

Movie Director, Zack Snyder has revealed the new teaser posters for the upcoming superhero movie ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.

The movie sees Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent with Ben Affleck brought into the fold as everybody’s favourite billionaire (Iron Man/Tony Stark’s being a close contender) and detective, Batman/Bruce Wayne. The plot is still unknown, but the official teaser trailer does give some degree of insight into the story. Also, we do know this is the foundation on which The Justice League movies will be built.

What we do know for certain is that these teaser posters are stellar! The colours, the textures, the effects and story behind each one is astounding to me. The level of epic with these designs is through the roof. DC Comics has a winner on its hands.

“Not too shabby!”
